I usually give myself way more to do, but I put a spin on it. 1) I have a choice at any given time. 2) my list isn’t meant to be 100% achievable for a certain time period. Maybe 80% is actually possible for X time. I check what I do and see what I can do day by day. I still get so much done that I am proud of without that stress of perfection.

Not me tearing up thinking about something that I longed for that I have now. 😭😭😭

My daughter just turned 18. She came in while you were reading that. She asked me to rewind to the start of your reading then told me mom, I need that book when she's done. It sounds really cool.

I also have a narcissistic mother and have had to cut her out of my life. I also was the “good child” and have been disowned a few times in the past before cutting my mother off for perceived slights against her. One of which was I decided to go to pharmacy school instead of medical school… because then I’d never be a real doctor and not be rich enough to buy her whatever she wanted… It was all craziness and I am happy to be out of it with my amazing life and partner!

I am writing some different books, but I keep getting more ideas of books and so how do you manage that?

I really appreciate how much strength it took to talk about what you’ve been through. It’s been a difficult road for me, in different ways from you, but still. And the fact of someone I see as a teacher and a mentor for my own writing talking about getting to the other side and realizing dreams gives me a little bit of strength to forge ahead. Invest if you haven't. Find a platform like M1 Finance, Stash, etc. Get your money invested for any lean times, have those dividends working for you. It's great to hear about what people are making. But if you don't know what to do with it, invest some of that money.

You know, thinking over the 20,000 readers part...maybe instead of listening to advice of abandoning it, what can you do to market it to increase that 20k reader group? Sometimes the best stories don't get to many hands, and instead of abandoning them, we should be fixing the problem of it not getting to many hands. Idunno I thought about changing the perspective and maybe thats something the other authors could have benefitted from 😅

About the abandoning Shadow Demons thing, I don’t think the people who gave that advice realise that if you develop a reputation for abandoning series, readers probably won’t bother getting invested in any new ones so I’d argue it would negatively affect your income.

I am not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said- there are so many supportive comments on here! Don't let anyone undermine all that you have given to the world. Also, I completely understand your reluctance to find a doctor. I genuinely believe that positive lifestyle changes to diet and exercise are the most important steps in improving our health and beginning the path to healing health issues. The advancements in medical technologies and pharmaceuticals have created a bad habit of some medical professionals and everyday people to forget the simplest ways to help ourselves. I’m making my newest 6MFL plan today!!! My 47th birthday is in 22 days and I want to be well on the way to a fantastic start by then. My health has taken a back burner lately but no more.

Your only human. You have a family that always must come first. And businesses we will love writing and we would all love for our books to be written and published within two months, but if you rush the process and you take the joy out of it then the reader’s not going to love the end product. Don’t let them get to you. I’m sure your book is going to be great and definitely worth the wait.
